Are Rentin Holiday Franchises A Safe Bet?

Redundancy payments to some are a blessing, to others a cause for major upset! One thing is for sure, whatever situation we find ourselves in during 2009 we all know that many people will stay employed, and many will end up unemployed. Being made unemployed for most is a daunting and probably one of the most stressful times of our lives. We can’t really blame our employers as its certainly not what they were expecting to have to do either, but for those who have been lucky enough to be given a redundancy package or early retirement, what do they do with it ?? What would you do with it?

Security in our lives seems to be the main concern, yet people perceive security in different ways. Some never really think about being unemployed until it happens to them. Paying off debts like the mortgage is important and certainly reduces the fears associated with unemployment. What is clear these days that the old dreams of running our own public house, or a bed and breakfast in the country is not a shrewd move, with the rents tied pubs charge along with the upfront purchase fees, or the hugely inflasted property prices taking a long term dive – such investments are probably some of the highest risk possible.

Its true that many sucessful businesses begin during a recession. Unlike being employed by big firms who tend to shrink in recessions, finding a way in which you can make a little profit during a recession is a sure fire way of never feeling the threat of unemployment again in your life – Why? because if businesses grow and do well in a recession, they find it easy to do well in a bouyant economy!!

Unless you have stumbled on a product/service opportunity which is amazingly obvious, a safer option is to take a look at the many successful franchise businesses available in the world. When I say SUCCESSFULL – I mean those companies that happily give you real contact details of various franchisee’s already working within their business model which you take the time out to actually speak to and find out what the franchise is truly like besides what you read in a franchisers publicity material. Established firms like SubWay, Dominoes Pizza, and MacDonals are all great examples of established franchise businesses that support their business partners (franchisees) and share in the profiits created in the business. Such businesses these days require a lot of start up capital which are out of reach of many, but thats not to say that you need to focus on a sandwich bar, a printers shop or a vending machine business either! Websites such as franchiseExpo.co.uk have a good range of franchises displayed as does the British Franchise Association, one area of new franchises showing consistently well is the holiday trade and with the internet maturing into a proper advertising platform, franchises like the Rentin Group who specialise in private holiday vacation rental – offer full training, automated booking systems built within an easily manageable website system covering a niche area of the world and even ensure that the sites are promoted and pushed up the search engines so that folk actually see your website and the numerous lovely properties that you have collected and built up inside your very own website. Examples are like the Nerja Villas site or Marbella Villas sites who have regular enquiries and bookings where the franchisee earns good profits and affords a nice lifestyle where the more properties you add into the system, the higher earnings role in. The idea of being able to work from home or a place in the sun and ensuring folk have great holidays in lovely accommodation beats looking at trying to buy into a driving instructor franchise and stressing with learners, or running a coffee shop in a busy shopping centre 6 days per week.
